Chamber Cuts Ribbon For Refurbished Northside Park Community Center

The Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting Wednesday January 28th for the Northside Park Community Center. The historic building was heavily damaged by an arson fire two years ago but has been refurbished and is back in use for the community. A big crowd turned out to enjoy a Community Coffee at the facility before City Board member Willie Walker, a staunch supporter of the park, cut the ribbon. Those who attended enjoyed tours of the building as well as hot dogs, cotton candy, and popcorn prepared by the park staff.
