Hope Lions Have Two Guests To Bring Program And Welcome Back Former Hope Lions To Visit

The Hope Lions Club had a "double-barrelled" program for Monday March 3rd.  Patricia Thomas from Historic Washington State Park talked about the Jonquil Festival which is coming March 14th, 15th, and 16th.  Aneesah Rasheed from the Rick Evans Grandview Prairie Consevation Education Center near Columbus talked about her facility's coming events and such features as the "3-D Archery Range".  The Lions had lots of questions for both ladies and left with a good bit of information about Jonquil Festival as well as the Rick Evans Grandview Prairie C.E.C.
Under the heading of "old friends" we will file this photo of Dr. Don and Debbie Freel.  The Freels now reside in east Texas but come back to Hope to visit periodically and are always warmly received at the Lions Club.  Dr. Freel joined the Hope club in 1965 and was quite active locally until the couple moved.  Debbie was one of the first female Hope Lions.  The Lions were pleased to welcome back their old friends for the meeting.
