Hope Kiwanis Club Hears Program From Bob Willis On Kiwanis History

The Hope Kiwanis Club had a program Tuesday March 4th from one of their own members, Bob Willis.  Willis talked about the history of the Kiwanis Club with memories of such former members of Guy Grigg, Henry Haynes, Stan Parris, Dr. Lynn Harris, E.P. Young, Jr., Roy Taylor,  Dr. Jim McKenzie, Dean Murphy, and others.  He talked about Harry Hawthorne's famous "flapper fanny" dance routine from the old Kiwanis Variety Show as well some of the show's famous "end men".  He also remembered when the club had a popcorn sale as a fund-raiser.  The older members especially enjoyed remembering some of their former Kiwanis colleagues.
