Dr. Barry Briefs Lions On Emerald Ash Borer

Dr. Jon Barry of the University of Arkansas Southwest Research and Extension Center gave the Hope Lions Club an update on the Emerald Ash Borer which has turned up in Arkansas.  The invasive pest essentially kills Ash trees by boring and eating the matter under the bark of Ash trees. The insect is as close to our area as Clark and Dallas County.  If you need information on the insect you can contact Dr. Barry at the SWREC or your local Cooperative Extension Service office.
