Train Day Committee Meets And Continues Planning For Train Day Celebration May 17th

Preparations are continuing for the 2nd Annual Train Day in downtown Hope on May 17th.  The event will once again feature a "tailgating" contest with $1,500 in cash prizes.  The Hope Civitan Club is coordinating the tailgating contest.  Applications are available from Civitan members, at Hope City Hall, at Tailgaters in downtown Hope and at hopemelonfest.com.  In addition to the tailgating contest and free hot dogs the event will include a farmers market, kids activities, and a caricaturist.  There will be music starting with the Hope Jazz Cats, the Hartley Family Bluegrass Group from Arkadelphia, Hope's own Dave Almond, and the Red Dirt Renegades.
