Hope Civitan Club Sponsors "Business After Hours" At Chamber Office

The Hope Civitan Club hosted a Chamber "Business After Hours" Thursday April 10th at the Chamber office.  The club meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 6pm at Dos Loco Gringos.  The club's main focus is on helping people with disabilities.  They will help with Special Olympics in Hope this month and will pick up litter on Patmos Road during the city-wide clean-up on April 26th.  April is "Civitan Awareness Month".  The club also will have a Mother's Day activity at the nursing homes and on May 17th the club will sponsor and oversee the Train Day "tailgating" contest in downtown Hope.  The winner of the "tailgating" contest will win $1,000 The club also sponsors the annual car show at the Watermelon Festival.  For info on the club, the tailgating contest, or other activities call Christy Burns at 722-1206.
