Lions Club Hears Program On Affordable Care Act...Judge Gunter Keeps Peace

The Hope Lions Club heard a program on the Affordable Care Act from Hampton Anderson of the Arkansas Department of Health.  Anderson gave a short, concise talk about the provisions of the act.  Since the Lions Club must stay completely neutral on any political matters, Lions President Mike Malek asked the club's resident legal expert Jim Gunter to make any judgement calls should anyone begin to express political comments for or against the topic.  Gunter, a retired Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court, was even given a genuine "Star Wars" light saber to help him keep order.  Thankfully he did not have to use it!
