Hope Fire Chief Visits Kiwanis

Hope Fire Chief Dale Glanton spoke to the Hope Kiwanis Club Tuesday March 19th. Chief Glanton had the pleasure of sitting with the man that hired him, retired fire chief Joe Don Webb. He was also introduced by former Mayor Floyd Young who was mayor when he was hired in 1984.
Glanton noted fire calls have decreased in recent years but the department now is called to more accidents to perform extrications. The chief also noted the department recently had been trained in safely extinguish fires on hybrid vehicles.
