Kiwanis Holds Farm-City Day, Dr. Kirkpatrick Speaks
The Hope Kiwanis Club held its annual "Farm-City" Day on Tuesday November 20th. The Kiwanis members invited guests who are farmers or who work in agriculture. The guest speaker was Dr. Terry Kirkpatrick of the University of Arkansas Southwest Research and Extension Center. Dr. Kirkpatrick spoke about the production of edaname, edible soybeans, in Arkansas. He noted the first plant processing edaname recently opened in Mulberry, Arkansas. Dr. Kirkpatrick also said Southwest Arkansas would be a great place for edaname production
