The Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce recently began selling decorative banners which encourage resident to "Shop Hope First". The banners are sponsored by local businesses and will be hung downtown when the Christmas and Watermelon Festival banners are not up. At least 27 have been sold and the Chamber can accept orders for more. Butch Fant of the Hope Parks Department is shown putting up one of the first 12 banners completed.
