Winter Wonderland...Without Downed Trees & Lines

Hempstead County residents awakened Thursday to some beautiful winter weather minus slippery roads. Freezing fog coated trees around the area with a delicate layer of frost-like frozen precipititation. From a distance the frozen precipitation looked like ice but was more like delicate snow close up. Most of the stuff melted by noon.
