The two Lions Clubs of Hope hosted the Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Community Coffee on Wednesday March 18th. The Hope Lions Club has been in existence since 1947 and the new club is the Hope Evening Lions Club. This club was formed around the former Hope Lioness Club. The clubs work very closely together on projects. One unusual fact about the clubs has to deal with their presidents. The Hope Lions Club President is John Trauger. The Hope Evening Lions President is Jessica Trauger. The Traugers are married to each other and are probably one of the few couples in which both man and wife are president of a local civic club
