Kenzie Glass Of Spring Hill Wins Hempstead County Spelling Bee

Kenzie Glass of Spring Hill took the overall honors Wednesday (1-29) at the Hempstead County Spelling Bee at Yerger Middle School.  According to coordinator Janice Russell, the 4th grade overall winner was Emma Allen of Clinton Primary.  Libby Tyson took 5th grade honors, Grace Cearley took 6th grade honors, and Brooklyn Jackson took 7th grade honors.  Tyson, Cearley, and  Jackson attend Garrett Memorial Christian School in Hope.  The 8th grade winner was Glass in addition to the overall winners.  Glass will compete in the state spelling bee at U.C.A. in Conway in March.  Thanks to pronouncer Mike Malek for the photos.
