Hope Lions Hold Club Day, Hear A Variety Of Speakers
The Hope Lions Club held "Club Day" Monday January 13th. The club heard from several Lions as well as Stina Brown of the American Cancer Society. Brown noted that Lions Rudy Preston will receive a state award due to his work in Relay for Life. Lions Claudia Griffin and Nancy Bailey talked about how the Lions budget is distributed. District Governor James Griffin gave some statistics on the district and noted the Hope club is the second largest in the district out of 32 clubs. John Collier and Bill Freeman talked about Lions World Services for the Blind and Mid South Sight and Hearing, two facilities supported by the Hope Lions.
