Featured Speakers at Veteran's Day Program

The featured speakers at Hope's Veteran's Day program were retired Major General Mel Thrash (left) and local author Harvey Smith (right). Nearly 100 people turned out for the annual program which was moved to the Fair Park Coliseum due to rain. Herbert Ross of American Legion Post #427 emceed the program. Leon Morehead offered the prayer. Others speaking included State Representative Bubba Powers, State-senator elect Larry Teague, and Sheriff Jerry Crane.
